Ready for tomorrow...

Eleanor Roosevelt

I found this quote yesterday and fell in love with it.
I feel like I am in huge transitional period right now and I can't help but have butterflies thinking about my future.
Obviously, the good kind of butterflies :)

Starting my new/old job again.
Butterflies.
Getting ready to move out of my parents house.
More butterflies.

For the first time since college I can really see myself moving forward.
You know after you graduate there's that weird 'stuck' feeling??
I bartended for a long time trying to figure out which direction I was going to go in. I couldn't help feeling stuck sometimes.
Not anymore!
I can actually see myself moving forward and I can't help smiling when I think about it!
I can't begin to describe how motivated I am right now!
So incredibly motivated to go back to work and blow them out of the water with me committment and drive to grow with the company.
My motivation to get out of debt, save money, and move out on my own.
My motivation to get back in shape {and stay in shape}.
I think is what Charlie Sheen calls Tiger Blood?!?!
Except I'll use it for good; not hookers and cocaine!
Winning!

And even though this is only slightly relevant I just recently had to remind myself of this.
I'm not one with regret {I try to find a lesson in everything} but I do sometimes hold on to things when I know I shouldn't.

But really I'm just happy!
And I've been doing a lot of this lately...

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm linking up with Jamie at This Kind of Love for WILW!

Happy Hump Day lovelies!!
T invited me to an Astros game last night. It was really fun! The Astros lost {surprise surprise} but it was still awesome. BTW did you know they have salads at the baseball park?? I didn't either and they are phenomenal. However I was on the club level so that might have something to do with it! :)

My two weeks is almost over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <--obviously I can not contain my excitement!

Time for some Wednesday Loving!!
;)

I'm Loving: that my two weeks is almost over!! Didn't I already mention that?? I did, this is how effing excited I am! It gets two shout outs!

I'm Loving: that while I was looking online at apartments yesterday I found one I really like that I can drool over until I can move out! This place has a dog park for Lucy and four pools for Ashley!

I'm Loving: that I get to start planning my birthday trip to Austin soon! Need to figure out who all's coming, where we're staying, etc! I haven't been to Austin since I went for my graduation! I can.not.wait. to go to 6th street!

On the roof at Maggie Mae's!

Dancing on the bar at Dizzy Rooster!
Pictures circa 2008!

Can NOT wait to go back!
:)

Im Loving: Texans pre-season starts in less than two weeks!!!!!
Oh and I'm going!

My boy Brian Cushing!
I've met him :)

I'm Loving: these Madden Girl wedges!

Wedges are perfect cause they give me height andddd they don't kill your feet like heels do!

Darwin was a smart man!

For those of you who live under a rock, it's shark week.
Wait, it needs more emphasis than that.
IT'S SHARK WEEK!!!

It's addicting to watch!
It's like television crack!
But I will admit, several years ago I did not understand the allure of watching sharks eat people and what not.
Then I smartened up!

My favorite thing about watching shark week is commented on all the stupid people.
**Disclaimer if you or somone you know was attacked by a shark and it was random this does not apply to you.
I'm talking about the people who hear the shark reports and still go in the water.

I should probably preface this by saying that I am a teensy bit nervous of big bodies of water.
ok...
I'm scared.
The ocean is just so big and immense and you can't always see what's around you.
Not for me!
Don't get me wrong, I love the ocean and snorkeling and I even learned to surf.
But I am a nervous-wreck when I'm in the water and I rarely go deeper than my waist.
Besides the place to be is on the beach getting sun!

So I was watching SHARK WEEK last night with T and it amazes me how stupid some people are.
Darwin was on to something with his whole survival of the fittest/natural selection idea.
Case in point: we were watching a show about attacks in Austrailia. There were 18 attacks in 3 months!! Thats 6 attacks a month! And people were still going in the water!!!! WTF! One guy even said he dreamed about being attacked the night before he was!!!! I don't understand these people!
I get that some people aren't scared of the water and even some surfers are used to seeing sharks all the time when they're in the water. BUT attacks are different than sightings!! I kinda don't feel sorry for these people!

What part of any of those pictures makes you want to be around them!
And apparently being in a boat isn't safe either. These effers can jump!

No, thank you!

I know what you're thinking I'm not paranoid about sharks but when you watch an hour-long show of people repeatedly getting attacked in a small area, you start to wonder if these people are stupid for getting in the water over and over again...

Moral to this post....go watch shark week, it's amazeballs!

PS I finally got my nails done!! I may or may not have left work early to do them....

And thanks to Em at Em=Me for posting this song yesterday on her blog.
It has been on repeat ever since!!

If Monday was a person, I'd kick their ass!

Why do Mondays suck so bad??
Seriously, it's just wrong to have Mondays!
Obviously Mondays=grouchy Ashley!

Although...
in a couple weeks I won't mind Monday nights...
because it will be Monday Night Football!
:)
August 15th I will be at the first pre-season game for the Texans!

Anyway I'd thought I would do a weekend recap so it will distract me from the Monday blues.

*Wild West
*Two-step
*Friends
*Boy
*Wine

{sidenote this weekend I drank more wine then I did last year!In a non-alcoholic way, it just seemed to be my drink of choice this weekend!}

*Family
*Movies
*Crab enchiladas
*Fajitas
*Steak & Potatoes
*Omelets

{I like how each meal gets an asterisk}

*Chips and salsa
*Massages
*Whataburger
*Peanut butter chip pancakes
*Brother's birthday
*Texans tickets
*Losing my voice

{I sound like I have smoked three packs a day for 40 years! :(( }

That more or less sums up my weekend.
Yes, I know there are NO pictures!
I am lamesauce!
I will work on it this week/weekend :)

Oh, and I found a recipe for a future Foodie Friday!
Anyone interested in homemade fried oreos?!??!
:)

Yummy fried oreos from last year at the Texas/OU game!

Since I already feel "sick" (remember I lost my voice) am I a bad employee if I leave sick for the rest of the day and get my nails done?!?!?

Friday Confessions!

I'm so mad at myself.
It's Friday so that means it's suppose to be Foodie Friday.
I have a recipe and pictures but it's on my home computer!
Sorry guys!
So instead today I thought I'd do a confessional!

BTW
Happy Friday!!
I.love.the.weekends.
<3

I CONFESS: that my itouch is still on Hawaii time. So everytime I turn it on I know what time it is there and I picture what I'd be doing.

I CONFESS: I might be hiding something from you lovelies...it  might start with a "B" and it might rhymes with toy...
Hopefully you can put two and two together...

I CONFESS: that I am ready for my two weeks to be over so I can start my new job. One week down, one to go!!

I CONFESS: that I am ready for the fall/winter! I'm ready for football and sweathers/scarves and hot chocolate and cuddling with lots of blankets and soup and holidays and my birthday and family gatherings and pretty much everything fall/winter related! Maybe snow...I also confess that I haven't really seen real snow!

I CONFESS: that I really really appreciate the support I've been getting about changing my job. There are a few people who aren't excited about my decision but for those of you {irl and on here} who have given me encouragement and support I thank you so much! You helped me make this decision! :))
Hugs!

I CONFESS: I want my own place. No explanation needed.

I CONFESS: I've been smiling a lot lately.
Even through all the stress...
 smiles!

Lovelies, have a great weekend! :)

Na na na na na na na na na na...backpain!

I woke up yesterday with cray-zey back pain.
However readers, this is normal for me.
Combined with my big knockers {I'm not trying to be cocky, but they are big and I hate them!} old whiplash injury, and my sucky-sucky mattress I tend to wake up in pain pretty frequently.
And yet, I have never been to a chiropractor.
I guess I'm a masochist.

But yesterday and today I woke up in worse pain than usual. Like wake-up in the middle of the night because it's so uncomfortable!
I don't know if it's a whiplash flare-up.
Or because I started working out again.
Or because my body's slowly turning on me!
But holy moly I'm popping Tylenol Rapid Release like they're tic-tacs!

Side note: I was in a car accident about three years ago and I got whiplash. My smartass decided not to go to the doctor for it and just treat it with Tylenol PM. Well when you don't get "proper" treatment for whiplash it can cause permanent damage and give you flare-ups from time to time. Sweet!

I'm suppose to go dancing tonight!
So Tylenol and I will be best friends today!

In other random news, my credit card extending my limit today.
This scares me.
Why is the bank encouraging me to spend more!?!?!
Bad bank!

Also I think my boss is coping with my two weeks notice by giving me extremely random busy work to do.
He asked me to make billing memos today...in my six months here I have never been in charge of getting the billing memos ready for projects. So naturally after putting in my two week's notice I should learn how to do this?!?!  Earlier this week he literally sent me an email just so I could essentially forward it to someone else...umm shot in the dark here maybe you could have just sent it to them yourself and cut out the middle man. Just a suggestion. :)

Have a great Thurday lovelies!!
I'm off to "do" work!

What's another word for random...spontaneous. Spontaneous Wednesday!

Doesn't that sound more exciting than saying this post is going to be random?
Lots of spontaneity coming at you!

I turn 25 in October and I still live at home.
{Yes I can hear you laughing, that's not nice}
And while I love my parents it's hard to feel completely like an adult/independent living at home.
I have a real job and I pay my own bills, I just haven't made enough to live on my own.
It's hard having to check it sometimes and constantly keeping tabs with them.
I do it gladly because I know it's important to them, that while I live at home to be conscientious.
But sometimes, ok a lot of the time, I feel like I'm still a teenager in their eyes.
And it's hard to go to work and be a professional and then go home and feel like a kid.
Here's hoping my new job gives me the income to move out!
:)

_______

Some friends and I are going to Wild West tomorrow night and there will probably be a post just about that! { I mean every trip is an EXPERIENCE}
I'm really excited because I think we have a great group going!!
I have a dress and boots picked out already.
I know, I'm a dork!
But.
I'm excited!

________

Today is my brother's birthday!!
I don't think he reads this but if you do bubby, Happy Birthday!!
I love you!

_________

Speaking of my bubby, he and my SIL are coming in town this weekend!
Super excited for that!
I have so much fun with them, especially Heidi!
Aren't they cute??!? I totally took this picture!
Yes, they're in a foam pit!

Oh and this is what Heidi and I do when we get together!

________

I have worked out three times this week already!
I'm FINALLY getting back to the gym.
I was starting to get a little fluffy.
AKA I was wrestling with my jeans to get them on.
Stupid jeans.
But I am crazy motivated to get back into shape!

__________

This literally just happened.
My co-workers son {maybe 5 yrs old} was standing outside my office and called me beautiful.
Made my day!
Little cutie patootie!

__________

Ok so calling it spontaneous didn't make it interesting...
kinda boring actually.
But that's all I got for you!

Have a wonderful Wednesday lovelies!
